About Me

Hi my name is Victoria Weaver.  I am a weaver as well.

This is one of many stories about restorations of Navajo rugs. It is also a homage to two talented Navajo weavers and their families. One of them was Two Grey Hills weaver Bertha Stevens who taught the very basic Navajo weaving skills as part of the “Navajo Weaving Experience” during the early 1990s and through the California based Idlewild School of the Arts. During the same period, I met Keam’s Canyon Navajo weaver Lillie Rose Cronk whose has been a dear friend over the years.  Without their guidance and support, I would not have been able to consider this project. I am deeply indebted to them and thankful that they will always be a part of my life. In my opinion, this restoration project is really our story.
